Granados was a Catalan pianist and composer. Many of his best-known works are compositions for the piano. Op.1 Cuentos de la Juventud (Tales of Youth) comprises ten pieces of which three are presented here:​

 - Dedicatoria (Dedication)

 - La Huerfana (The Orphan Girl)

 - Cancion de Mayo (May Song)

All are transcribed from the piano scores as guitar trios.
